Caprese Flatbread

Here’s a tasty flatbread that everyone will enjoy! Think Caprese Salad…now think Flatbread…combine the two and you’ve got a Caprese Flatbread…pesto, roasted tomatoes, velvety mozzarella and fresh basil

Caprese Flatbread
2 Stonefire Authentic Flatbreads
Heidi’s Perfect Pesto or Bellino Pesto Sauce
6 Roma Tomatoes
Mozzarella slices
Fresh basil leaves

Heat oven to 450Β°F. Slice tomatoes into relatively thick rounds. Layer on a greased baking dish and brush with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper. Place tomatoes in heated oven and roast 15 minutes. Spread each flatbread with desired amount of pesto sauce; layer with roasted tomatoes and mozzarella slices. Bake in the heated oven for 5-7 minutes. Snip some fresh basil leaves on top. Serve immediately….Makes 2-4 servings.
