On our recent visit to Panama we discovered a delicious flavor of Sangria. Omar at Tantalo Rooftop Bar in Casco Viejo, Panama shared with us his recipe for a Champagne Passion Fruit Sangria. It was so refreshing! Especially in the heat of summertime in Panama. Recently we decided to recreate this wonderful drink at home for our Cocktail Corner with delightful results. This is the perfect drink to share with friends on Memorial Day!
Passion Fruit – Sparkling Wine Sangria
6 oz. pineapple juice
12 oz passion fruit nectar
6 oz brandy
half bottle Chandon Sparkling Wine
Club Soda
Sliced Strawberries
Fresh Mint
In a large pitcher combine the pineapple juice, passion fruit nectar, brandy and half bottle of Chandon sparkling wine. Add the sliced strawberries and fresh mint. Backfill with Club Soda. Mix well and serve over ice.
Enjoy!

I went on a βsparkling wineβ tasting session in South Africa at J.C. La roux and I instantly fell i love with it! If you ever go to South Africa you have to try the wine route! Stunning scenery, cheap tastings and the drinks are amazing! Thank you for sharing π

Your sangria looks so refreshing, and a perfect summer drink. Lovely colour, too. I’ve only ever tried sangria when we were in Spain and it was the usual red.
