Party Dips

Party Dips 1

Saturday night we had cocktails at our home with my parents and my Aunt Kathy and Uncle Fred. I love when they visit because we always have such a fun time. Well, before our dinner reservations at one of my favorite martini bars, I served cocktails and dips. I had just cooked a ham the day before, and the night before that we had my hubby’s excellent Dijon & Dill Salmon. So with my leftovers and some help from a few condiments I made some very tasty dips. Add some fresh toast points and the right presentation and you have a little party…

Party Dips…
Salmon Dip
1 1/2 cups salmon cooked and flaked apart
1/2 cup soft cream cheese
1 Tsp fresh dill
2 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp old bay

Mix ingredients gently to keep the salmon flaky.

Ham Dip
1 cup ham chopped in processor
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 Tbs pickled dill relish

Mix ingredients together until blended.

Dried Beef Dip
1/2 lb dried beef chopped into little pieces
1/4 cup minced onion
3/4 cup soft cream cheese
1 tsp pepper
salt to taste

Mix ingredients together until blended.

  1. When you mention your favourite Martini bar, do you mean to tell me that your town hosts MORE THAN ONE martini bar?? For a lover of Martini who has never been in ANY Martini bar, it sounds as if you live in Nirvana. On the rare occasion when I have the gall to order a Martini in an Irish pub I usually have to tell the barman what it is.

    1. Use of leftovers should have been my middle name… Lol. Some day when I’m really feeling confident I will tell you how else I use my leftovers. A lesson from an old immigrant grown out of the depression. Meanwhile… My hubby eats nothing but Filet Mignon… yikes!
