This is a dish I’ve been thinking about for a while now. I used to make it for my kids when they were teenagers. It was always a good go-to when they were on the run. I made it for myself today and it was as good as I remember. Simple and refreshing. I used to put it on a pita for them.
Turkey Burger
1 lb ground turkey
1 Tbs dried onions
1 tsp celery salt
1 tsp ground pepper
Cucumber Yogurt Sauce
3 cucumbers peeled, seeded and diced
2 garlic cloves minced
1 cup Greek yogurt
1/2 cup light sour cream
1/2 cup red onion minced
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 Tbs red wine vinegar
Mix all the sauce ingredients together and let chill in the refrigerator while you form 4 patties.
Heat a cast iron skillet. Sprinkle the burgers with the seasoning blend and cook for 4 minutes on each side.
Top each burger with the yogurt sauce and eat… Delicious!
Enjoy!
