By now you must know our love for burgers! This Italian Chicken Burger is on the lighter side…yea! All the flavors of a Chicken Parmesan in a burger..who wouldn’t like that!? Quick and easy Friday night burger that’s so tasteful you won’t need to go out! If you’re not in the mood to add the sauce then by all means pop some bbq sauce and bacon on your burger or layer on the BLT and your favorite condiments. Any way you dress ’em up, you’re gonna love ’em!
Italian Chicken Burgers
2 lbs ground chicken
1/2 tablespoon Montreal steak seasoning
1/2 tablespoon oregano
1/2 tablespoon parsley
1/2 tablespoon basil
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt & fresh ground pepper (to taste)
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
2 loaves Italian bread (fresh or ready to bake)
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
provolone cheese slices
prepared spaghetti sauce (optional)
Heat oven to 400 °F. In a large bowl combine the ground chicken with the seasonings. Shape into 4 burgers. Heat oil in a large skillet and cook burgers 5 minutes on each side on medium-high heat. Meanwhile, heat the Italian loaves in the oven 10-12 minutes until nicely browned. Warm up the sauce (if using) in the microwave for just a minute. To assemble: Slice heated loaves to fit your burgers, layer with mayonnaise, freshly cooked chicken burgers & provolone cheese. Top with warmed sauce.
Enjoy!

I don’t use ground chicken at all, but this seems like the perfect way to start. Great post!
