It’s Burger Time! On today’s menu? Cajun Bleu Burgers…a perfect blend of ground sirloin & andouille sausage seasoned with Cajun spices and topped with Gorgonzola blue cheese. My tastebuds are tingling just thinking about a big juicy bite outta this one!
Cajun Bleu Burgers
1 lb ground sirloin
2 links Andouille sausage, casings removed & crumbled
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning rub
spicy remoulade (recipe below)
4 slices Gorgonzola blue cheese
4 fresh Brioche rolls
Combine the ground sirloin and the Andouille sausage and form 4 patties. Heat a grill pan, spray with cooking spray and cook burgers until desired doneness.
Butter the Brioche buns and pop under the broiler for a few minutes to toast up slightly.
Make the Spicy Remoulade: combine 4 tablespoons ketchup with 4 tablespoons mayonnaise and 1/4-1/2 teaspoon ground chipotle chili pepper. Whisk well. Slather a dollop on the bottom of each Brioche bun. Place on a few spinach leaves, the cooked Cajun Bleu Burger, a slice of Gorgonzola blue cheese and top with the Brioche bun. Wow!
