So I bought too much turkey bacon which always forces me to try to think of ways to use what I over buy or make. I remember having Praline bacon once and decided ‘Yes’! So here we go… I love being my own Guinea pig!
Vanilla & Pecan Praline Turkey Bacon
10 slices turkey bacon
1 cup pecans
1/2 cup vanilla wafers
1/2 cup vanilla infused sugar (if you have it, otherwise just use brown sugar)
Preheat the oven to 375 °F. Line the turkey bacon on a cookie sheet and bake for 18 minutes.
While the bacon is cooking, pulse the sugar, cookies and pecans in a blender of food processor and set aside. Remove the bacon from the oven and with tongs or a fork, flip the turkey bacon over. Evenly sprinkle the topping over the top of each piece.
Return to the oven for 10-15 more minutes until the top crust starts to turn a golden brown, then allow to cool. Yummy! Yummy! Yummy! Just because my kitchen is my test kitchen too, I put an even coat of Dijon mustard on two of the bacon pieces before I used the topping. The results are that the ones with Dijon mustard were even better!
Enjoy!

Did you like it? Just not sure about this one… 🙂 I love chocolate and I love bacon – but I cannot do the two together – tried twice. I do like maple sausage – so maybe praline bacon would be good……. Photo is pretty 🙂
