The Cookie Jar: Walnut Butterballs
Years ago when we were young my mother would organize cookie making days during the Christmas season. She had a ton of wonderful cookie recipes that my sisters and I would make with her – it was so much fun! It’s been years since I’ve had to make more than a batch of cookies…but since I was recently invited to join in a Cookie Exchange Party I had the opportunity to make these delightful Christmas-time cookies that my mom used to make with us. What made it even more special is that I spent the day making these with my friend Kristin. Thank you Kristin for opening up your kitchen for a special day of cookie-baking! Continue reading

Vanilla & Pecan Praline Turkey Bacon

The Cookie Jar: Butterscotch & Chocolate Chunk Cookies
Everyone loves a great tasting cookie…Here is the classic chocolate chip cookie with the addition of butterscotch chips! Double yummy!! I love to use semi-sweet baking squares and chop them into bits as their flavor is so much richer than the regular chips. These are my son Gabe’s favorite cookie. Hope you love them as much as he does. And I have to admit that the colorful box in the photo above inspired me to make these…I really wanted to use that box!! Enjoy this easy & very tasty dessert… Continue reading
