Asian Noodle Bowl With Ginger Pork Meatballs
You don’t have to go out to have a great noodle bowl…You can have one right at home. Asian inspired flavors are a favorite in the summer for me and rice noodles are great hot or cold. I grind my own pork because I like it really fresh, but unseasoned pork is fine to use too…

Asian Noodle Bowl With Ginger Pork Meatballs
Ginger Pork Meatballs
1 1/2 lb fresh ground pork
2 egg yokes
1 1/2 tsp Asian 5 spice
3 cloves of garlic minced
1 Tbs grated fresh ginger
2 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp white pepper
1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs

1 package rice noodles cooked as package directs
3 cups chicken stock
1 cup beef stock
1/4 cup fish sauce
1 Tbs soy sauce
1 tsp Hoisen sauce
Add Ins
shiitake mushrooms
red cabbage

Preheat the oven to 350 °F. Mix the fresh ground pork, egg yokes, Asian 5 spice, garlic, fresh ginger, sesame oil, salt, white pepper and bread crumbs in a bowl and mix until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.  Roll into tiny balls about the side of a large gumball and place on a lightly greased sheet pan. bake for 20 minutes, remove from oven and set aside. Heat in a stock pot the chicken and beef stocks, fish sauce, soy sauce and Hoisin sauce. Add the meatballs, kale, red cabbage, sliced mushrooms and sliced scallions. Cook until kale begins to soften (about 5 minutes). Place the cooked rice noodles in a bowl and pour the heated broth and meatballs over the noodles. Comfort all the way baby!

  1. I had rice noodles the other day and it reminded me how much I liked rice noodles. My mom used to grind all the meat guessed it meatballs. I am looking forward to making your spicy meatballs!
