It’s Taco Tuesday! Sometimes you just want something simple. Tacos. Yep. Tacos. That sounds about right. But instead of heading over to your local taco joint how about you make a healthier version? You don’t need the taco envelope from the supermarket!! Nope, these tasty turkey tacos are more flavorful and healthier…
Turkey Tacos
1 1/3 lb pkg ground turkey
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin
1/2 cup chicken broth
8 oz tomato sauce
In a large skillet, brown the ground turkey in the hot oil over medium-high heat. Combine the spices in a small bowl and add to the cooked turkey in the skillet.
Chop the ground turkey & seasonings up as fine as you like ’em! Add in the chicken broth. Pour in the tomato sauce.
Stir to combine. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered for about ten minutes. Serve with your favorite taco toppings.
Enjoy!
