This tasty fall salad actually reminds me of spring. I served it recently at a luncheon I hosted. Since I love to decorate my dining table to the 9’s as often as I can, I invite different groups of women to a lunch and we have a wonderful, elegant time. Sometimes it’s for charity, and sometimes just because. This time it was for all the wonderful women who work for my husband that make his office run like a well-oiled machine. If you’re anything like me you are already gearing up for the Christmas Holiday. I’m tweaking ideas for the many dinners we will be having and the easy dishes for the Big Day! It’s good to have a trial run with your recipes that you intend to make for your guests if you want to do new things. Knowing in advance how it turns out will just make you look like a pro to family and friends. It will also tell you if it’s too complicated for a crowd and how you can make it more simple. My hubby and I love this appetizer and we sometimes have it for our entire meal. I’m making this as the salad for my Christmas table with one pear instead of two, but it can also be served on a platter as an appetizer.
