German Potato Salad

German Potato Salad

Every summer when we were little my parents took us up to ‘the house on the hill’ to visit family. The House on the Hill was the home of my grandmother on my father’s side. She was one of thirteen children! She and my grandfather lived in Philadelphia year-round but during the summer they would head up to her family home and we would all spend time with cousins and aunts and uncles. I have the fondest memories of those summers…the fun, the freedom, the food! My grandmother’s German Potato Salad was one of those additions to the meals that was to die for – one that was delicious served nice and warm but got better and better as it sat in the marinade.  Thank you Mom Mom for the wonderful memories and all your delicious recipes… Continue reading

Tri Colored Roasted Carrots

Tri Colored Roasted Carrots 8

I love the variety of colors you can get from the world of vegetables. My hubby and I are committed to non GMO’s in our garden and in our refrigerator as often as we are able. Layered flavors make this not only pleasing to eat, but pleasing to the eye. My Hubby said it was the best eggplant he’s ever had. That always makes me smile! Continue reading

Mini Chocolate Lava Cakes

Mini Chocolate Lava Cake 1

These little treasures are great to make and have in the fridge for a plethora of occasions. I serve them at dinner parties and give them as gifts in pairs every Valentine’s Day to friends and family. Today I made 40 of them for a bridal shower as a favor to take home and bake… but of course my Hubby and I had to have a little sample so I could show you how awesome and easy they are… (now there are only 38). The best part is they can be stored uncooked in the fridge for several months and you can pop them in the oven any time you want one. Here, have a bite… Continue reading
