When I lived in Philadelphia I would go almost every day to a corner vendor for a Philly soft pretzel for lunch. I’m sure it wasn’t the best thing to do, but it certainly fit my college budget! I sometimes get the hankering for a good homemade soft pretzel. Today I made them a little different. I added pepperoni and cheese!!! Serve with some cheese dip and a little marinara and you have pizza in a pretzel. You can also make little bite size pieces which would be great for your upcoming Super Bowl Party!! Continue reading

Country Ham With A Rum And Coke Glaze

Talk about good! Every year at Christmas my Hubby gets an enormous whole ‘bone-in’ ham from one of his clients. This year I decided to make a little different glaze than the standard brown sugar kind. I know lots of you probably already cook your ham with coke, but I always used ginger ale. I make it once a year during the winter when comfort food is truly needed… Continue reading

With some fresh veggies and a little potato I just love it. This time I added a little flair with a Mexican spin. Fiesta seasoning at the end really gives this soup a kick of fiesta fun! Taco Tuesday: Lime Marinated Skirt Steak Tacos

I have to say that my Hubby doesn’t like any beef but Filet Mignon, however, I believe I may have converted him a little to skirt steak done right. When marinated and cooked quickly, this steak is tender. It’s another great addition to our Taco Tuesday menu… Continue reading
