When I lived in Philadelphia I would go almost every day to a corner vendor for a Philly soft pretzel for lunch. I’m sure it wasn’t the best thing to do, but it certainly fit my college budget! I sometimes get the hankering for a good homemade soft pretzel. Today I made them a little different. I added pepperoni and cheese!!! Serve with some cheese dip and a little marinara and you have pizza in a pretzel. You can also make little bite size pieces which would be great for your upcoming Super Bowl Party!! Continue reading

Making a Change…
Over the last two weeks Heidi and I had quite a few discussions and have decided we want to make a change! We love our Fabulous Fare Sisters corner of the web and definitely want to continue sharing our love of food and our tried and true recipes with you. As very active wives and mothers and because Fabulous Fare Sisters has given us new avenues to explore, we have decided to devote more time to exploring these opportunities…therefore starting tomorrow Fabulous Fare Sisters will be posting twice a week – on Tuesdays and Thursdays and no longer continue our Week in Review. We are excited to make these changes and are looking forward to spending more time pursuing other activities…please join us in the kitchen on Tuesdays and Thursdays…We hope you enjoy our new format!

The Cookie Jar: Classic Chocolate Lace Cookies
I first had these crispy classic lace cookies when my boys were little…a friend with five kiddos herself shared the recipe with me and we’ve been making them ever since. I’ve tweaked the recipe just a wee bit to make them easier to make – they are truly delicious! Another great Christmas cookie addition to The Cookie Jar! Continue reading
The Cookie Jar: Hazelnut Chocolate Truffles

It’s almost Christmas! With lots of parties, lunches with friends and charities to attend, I like to have something sweet I can take at a moments notice. I’m not a big baker like Linda, but I do love chocolate, so I make lots of Chocolate Truffles! Not only do I love them, but so does everyone else so, let’s add these to The Cookie Jar!! French Toast Bread Pudding
French Toast is a favorite breakfast in our house. And we also love a good bread pudding. So I’ve combined the two favorites to make a delicious French Toast Bread Pudding. It’s perfect for a weekend breakfast drizzled with a little syrup or for dessert with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! Continue reading
The Cookie Jar: Walnut Butterballs

Years ago when we were young my mother would organize cookie making days during the Christmas season. She had a ton of wonderful cookie recipes that my sisters and I would make with her – it was so much fun! It’s been years since I’ve had to make more than a batch of cookies…but since I was recently invited to join in a Cookie Exchange Party I had the opportunity to make these delightful Christmas-time cookies that my mom used to make with us. What made it even more special is that I spent the day making these with my friend Kristin. Thank you Kristin for opening up your kitchen for a special day of cookie-baking! Continue reading
Pork & Cauliflower Potstickers

I love a good Potsticker! For a healthy twist to these little gems I used chopped cauliflower and shaved Brussels Sprouts, then I put them over a bed of spinach for a little more yummy goodness. Continue reading

So roasting carrots and popping them in a breakfast muffin seemed just the thing to do…thankfully they were really really good! Continue reading
