We have this cozy English Pub in Philadelphia that serves the best British fare in the area. It’s actually one of Heidi’s favorite restaurants! The Dandelion serves comfort food in a warm, charming setting. We recently met Heidi and her Hubby there to celebrate her Birthday. Who doesn’t love spaghetti and meatballs! When making it for guests I always had this giant doubt about it. Growing up, it was the one night you never wanted dish duty! Especially when your parents paired you, (me the youngest) with the only boy. My brother had a very good system for looking very busy without doing anything… Seriously, just ask Linda. Anyway, I decided once to just roast the whole thing so I could enjoy my guests and not look at my kitchen with embarrassment as if a peck of tomatoes had just exploded. April Fools!

Okay, So it’s April 1st and we all know what that means. I’m not big on pranks, so I decided to make a spin on dessert. I saw this concept years ago in some magazine to surprise your kids. Well today I decided to make it. I based my recipe on my turkey meatloaf, but without the regular green herbs. That would be a dead give away.
