Every Christmas Eve we gather in front of the fireplace and indulge in yummy appetizers and play boardgames. It’s an annual tradition we have been enjoying for almost 35 years…this year I made this deliciously cheesy crab dip….it’s a spin on the Crab Muffins I usually make. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas! Continue reading

Crab Filled Ravioli With Marinara & Pesto

A little trick I use when I want to make ravioli and I just don’t have time to make my own…wontons! You heard me… so I filled them with a beautiful crab mixture, boiled them and presto they were ready! My Hubby loves them, I love how tender and thin the dough is and if I have guests, they think I worked all day… Perfect all around! Continue reading
Cheddar Crab Muffins

I don’t know where the original recipe came from, but Heidi shared this recipe years ago with the family and we’ve all been making these delicious Crab Muffins as appetizers ever since. They’ve become a true classic! Hope you’re able to give them a try…the upcoming Superbowl 50 on Sunday, February 7th may be just the day to make ’em…they’re not something you want to have if you’re on a diet – but are definitely decadently delicious and so easy to make… Continue reading
Decadent Mac & Cheese With Roasted Garlic And Lump Crab Meat

Mac & Cheese has got to be one of my favorite comfort foods. Well the other night I had several people over for dinner. I have learned to make things that give me the ability to enjoy my guests without spending the whole night in the kitchen. Served in individual ramekins, this recipe makes 12 servings. I only had 6 guests so the extras went into the refrigerator to be heated later in the week for lunch or another meal. I served this with a big spinach salad and presto… I had endless accolades which is always a great thing! Continue reading
Portobello Mushrooms Stuffed With Crab, Scallops and Onions
On nights when my hubby and I are home alone I like to make dinner a little special. So on this special night I decided to load up some beautiful Portobello mushrooms with lots of crab and some sea scallops too. A little wine, a little candle light, a little jazz and the mood is set. This dish was a delight to both of us and the perfect amount of fare for each… Continue reading
Seafood Risotto

Today is MEATLESS MONDAY! After a non-stop weekend filled with family fun complete with beef and burgers I decided to make a deliciously light seafood risotto to ease us into the week. The tomato broth punches up the flavor volume… Continue reading
Crab Cake Sandwiches
Remember the crab meat from the Shrimp & Crab Meat Pasta? I bought a 1 lb can of lump crab meat from the seafood deli at my local supermarket. I used only a half of a cup for the pasta recipe…and since crab meat must be used up within a day once opened, I used the remaining crab meat for these flavorful sandwiches! I first had crab cakes at one of our favorite local restaurants, A’Pizze Tuscan Grill. The owner Memo was a great guy and made his with cream cheese. Unfortunately the restaurant closed. Although I don’t have his recipe, I decided that since I loved those crab cakes I would design my own using cream cheese. These ended up being so good that even the one son who is not a big fan of fish or seafood thought they were delicious! Topped with a tangy ranch relish and served on ciabatta rolls they are just so yummy!! Continue reading
Shrimp & Crab Meat Pasta
I love being able to use leftovers to create something entirely different! The other day I made Penne with Pancetta & Brandy Tomato Cream Sauce. We had some leftover sauce so I used it to make a quick shrimp & crab meat pasta! It has now become Raf’s favorite pasta ever! His exact quote was “This is better than any seafood pasta I’ve had in any restaurant.” What a compliment…guess this one’s a keeper!! Continue reading
