My son Gabe first tried the Harry Potter Butterbeer in Universal Studios a few years ago and has been itching to taste it again…after buying a bottled version of it at It’s Sugar in Ocean City, NJ this past weekend, he was disappointed by the lack of quality and flavor…when he returned home he asked me to help him recreate one that tasted more like the original at Universal…here’s his version that turned out just the way he liked it! Bizcocho de Caramelo

My husband was in the mood for something sweet – so he says to me, “I want a Bizcocho!” Now, I’ve been married to this man for over thirty years and not once have I heard of this ‘Bizcocho’. “What is that?”, I replied. “It’s a cake”, he says. A cake that he used to get at a little bakery around the corner from his house growing up. No wonder I didn’t have a clue what it was – but after a little research I found that ‘Bizcocho’ is actually a word that applies to many sweet desserts; cake, cupcakes, cookies…basically anything sweet sold at a bakery!
