Broccoli Cheddar Chowder

Today is MEATLESS MONDAY! We have 25 beautiful broccoli plants in the garden. After they make the initial broccoli head like the one in the grocery store, the plant starts producing little broccoli shoots. Well, I have many, many little broccoli shoots. Since my husband and I love soup, I decided to make a Broccoli Cheddar Chowder for lunch. I like to top mine with a little hot pepper oil from the best hot peppers I have ever had, Pap’s Peppers from Altoona, Pa, (Oh, So Good)! I can never get enough French Onion Soup! I was about 10 the first time I tried it… but from my first bite, I was sold. We ate out a lot when I was growing up and for years I ordered it every time I saw it on the menu. Even now, I am still tempted when I see it. I assure you that I have had enough onion soup to make me quite the connoisseur. By the time I was in 11th grade I decided to make it at home.
