Apple-Blueberry Crumble

This delicious dessert is one of our absolute favorites! Your favorite apple and fresh blueberries merge to delight the tongue in a quick and easy recipe…you can serve this at your July 4th celebration – everyone will love it!

Apple-Blueberry Crumble
2 Gala apples, peeled and sliced
1 cup fresh blueberries, rinsed
3 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
dash or two of nutmeg
Topping
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
dash nutmeg

3 tablespoons cold butter
vanilla ice cream

Heat oven to 375Β°F. Grease a 9″ round baking dish (or pie dish) with a little butter. Place the apples and blueberries along with the 3 tablespoons sugar, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon and nutmeg, in a medium mixing bowl. Toss to coat fruit with sugar. Spoon into the baking dish and level it out. In a small mixing bowl, combine the flour, remaining sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Spoon onto the fruit in the baking dish. Cut the cold butter into small cubes and place all over the top of the flour-sugar mixture. Place in the oven and bake 40-45 minutes. Remove from oven and divide onto four plates or bowls. Top with as much vanilla ice cream as each person wants! Devour!!
