Filet Mignon with Parmesan-Basil & Garlic Butter

This melt-in-your-mouth Filet Mignon is fabulous! Perfect for grilling on the charcoal grill or popping into a very hot oven in a cast iron skillet…My boys just love these steaks!

Filet Mignon with Parmesan-Basil & Garlic Butter
4 Filet Mignon 10 oz each
extra virgin olive oil
salt & fresh ground pepper
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
10 leaves fresh basil, chopped
butter
2 garlic cloves, minced

Heat the grill. Allow the filet to come to room temperature. Drizzle each with a little olive oil and season with salt and pepper. In a small mixing bowl combine the Parmesan cheese and the basil. When the grill is nice and hot, grill the filet 2 minutes on the first side (or as desired). Flip over. Press the Parmesan-Basil mixture onto the top of each filet while grilling on the second side to desired doneness (2-4 minutes). Meanwhile heat a small pan with 2 tablespoons butter and the minced garlic. Remove the steaks from the grill and allow to rest. To serve: pour the garlic butter over the top of each filet. Makes 4 servings.

Enjoy!
