Some meals taste much better than they look! This hearty one-pot dish is one of those meals that doesn’t look beautiful but tastes wonderful…tender chicken thighs braised with garlic & potatoes and glazed with a touch of maple syrup at the end to give it a delicious flavor and aroma…
Skillet Garlic-Maple Chicken & Potatoes
8 boneless chicken thighs
4 garlic cloves, minced
salt and fresh ground pepper
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
6 potatoes, peeled & diced
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
In a deep skillet, brown the chicken thighs along with the garlic in the olive oil and butter; season with salt and fresh ground pepper (~ 4 minutes on each side). Add the diced potatoes and additional salt (to taste). Cover the skillet; bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes until chicken is cooked and potatoes are tender. Pour in the syrup and simmer a few minutes to combine flavors. Serve immediately.
Enjoy!
