Baked Ham Barbecue

This is a great end of the summer party sandwich. The kids may be back in school, but the pool is still open and on the weekends the family still visits to absorb every ounce of what is left before the leaves begin to change. Lots of fun and food is to be had by all on these still-sunny days. This hearty ham sandwich had everyone going back for more!

Baked Ham Barbecue
1 Ham (4-6 lb)
2 cups ketchup
1/2 cup yellow mustard
2 Tbs dark brown sugar
2 Tbs red wine vinegar
1/2 cup dill pickle relish
2 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbs ground cinnamon
1 tsp garlic salt
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 Tbs smoked paprika
1 onion diced
3 Tbs butter
Pack of favorite fresh rolls

Preheat the oven to 375 °F. Cook the ham 10 minutes per pound. Ten minutes before it is done, glaze the ham and return it to the oven. I  glazed the ham with a mix of 1/4 cup mustard, 1/2 cup apricot jelly and  1/4 cup white wine.

Slice the ham as thin as you can and set aside. In a sauce pot, melt the butter and add the onions; cooking until the onions are tender. Next add the ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire, cinnamon, garlic salt, pepper, smoked paprika & 1/2 cup water. Cover the pot with a lid and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Add the ham to the pot and cook on low for about 20 minutes, or transfer to a crock pot and place on medium until you are ready to eat!

Just Delicious!!!

Enjoy!
