Italian Cannellini Bean Dip With Sesame Bread Sticks

Italian Cannellini Bean Dip With Sesame Bread Sticks

The other night when I made homemade pasta, I was remembering this dip I had at an Italian restaurant in King of Prussia a few months back. I was meeting Linda for lunch and buying a sofa. They served this Cannellini  dip with an Italian herb bread… Well, I didn’t have any Italian bread, and making the pasta was work enough, so I decided to add the herbs to the dip instead. It was even better than the restaurants! Simple and a great dip for any Italian night or even Super Bowl 50…

Italian Cannellini Bean Dip With Sesame Bread Sticks
2 cans Cannellini beans drained and rinsed
3 large cloves garlic cooked or roasted
1/3 cup chicken broth
1/2 tsp garlic salt  & 1/2 tsp celery salt
1 tablespoon Dried Tomato & Garlic Pesto Mix
1-2 tablespoons olive oil

Puree the beans, garlic, garlic salt & celery salt, and chicken stock in a blender or food processor. Place in a serving dish and add the Dried Tomato & Garlic Pesto Mix. Pour the olive oil so it lays on the top of the dip and sprinkle with a little more garlic salt… Delicious!

Enjoy!

  1. I’m going to try this! I love cannellini beans in my chili, and love Hummus, and I gobble up the herbed and garlic olive dipping sauce they leave on the table to dip your bread in- (btw-I don’t eat the bread just the sauce to save calories) so I’m sure I’d love this.
