Well, it’s that time of the year… fruit flies. It’s the time of year when if you leave a banana out you will be inviting every fruit fly within a ten mile radius. So this is the best time to grab those bananas, put them in the refrigerator until they are good and brown and then turn them into a moist and delicious banana bread…
Banana Bread
3 ripe bananas
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup soft butter
2 eggs
2 cups all purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp pure vanilla
Big slab of Amish butter
Preheat oven to 350 °F. Mash bananas smooth. Add remaining ingredients and mix until smooth. Butter inside of a loaf pan and add banana mixture using a spatula to insure all the mixture makes it into the loaf pan. Bake for 50 minutes. Cool and serve with a big slab of Amish Butter!
Enjoy!

You read my mind! I’ve got 5 bananas that are perfect and I’m planning to bake up some banana bread. I add yogurt to mine for super moist bb. Your recipe and bread look delicious! Nice density, and crumb, and slathered with butter is heaven!

Thanks Linda, I’ll save you a piece. I also like the yogurt idea. Sometimes I add applesauce too.
